The Bansai Bills are an original rock band that is determined to revive jazz, blues and funk amongst listeners of all ages. Their creative bonds, as well as their friendships, were created when they were in grade school and have not stopped progressing since. The Bansai Bills started writing originals and performing in 2005. In 2007, the members went their separate ways to pursue different interests and officially reunited in 2011 after bassist Eli Foose safely returned from a three year tour in the U.S Army in which he spent a year deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and after guitarists/keyboardist Dan Galvano graduated with a BFA in jazz performance from The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC. Since the reuniting in the, Summer of 2011, The Bansai Bills have been delivering complex, eclectic and mesmerizing rock and roll performances with influences ranging from the classics such as Frank Sinatra, BB King and James Brown to the modern masters such as The Grateful Dead, Sublime and Phish. The Bansai Bills have a wide variety of covers and over 30 originals, but any combination of their selections end up growing into an exploratory, organic and free flowing set of music. They are truly inspired and know how to give back the energy and love they feel from their crowd to create a musical experience that involves both the musicians and the listeners. As creators, The Bansai Bills are gardeners, not architects, meaning any tune can grow into something completely different each performance. Their songs are merely seeds and their roots may grow into the rich soil of the unknown to produce a stunning sensory experience which leaves audiences on their feet wishing for more
