Corey R-J is a musician, producer, and singer/songwriter, Rhode Island born and raised now living in the Tri-state area. For the last 10 years, Corey has been writing, recording, and performing with various projects across the U.S. but in 2010 began as a solo musician. Combining styles of rock, pop, and jazz influenced by artists such as The Early November, Minus The Bear, and The Rocket Summer he writes, records, and self-produces all his own original material.
Corey’s first electric EP, “Here I Am.” released in February 2010 and was followed by acoustic rendition EP, “& the Acoustics” in March 2012 supported by an acoustic tour throughout the Northeast. In July 2013, he released his debut EP, “Time and Travels” mastered by recording engineer Roger Seibel (Death Cab for Cutie, Andrew Bird, A Great Big Pile of Leaves and Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin). In support of the album, “the Colony”, Corey’s electric band toured the east coast and mid-west U.S.
Fresh off a 37 city U.S. tour accompanied by writer/musician Kara Lia. As well as solo tour throughout the north/southeast, Corey is currently producing his first full length record, “The Long Way Home” expected for release sometime in 2015
